Finances
SKKG finances its expenses from a share of the real estate income from the real estate portfolio built up by Bruno Stefanini. After his death in 2018, his entire estate was transferred to the foundation, meaning that SKKG became the owner of all 200 properties. A fixed proportion of the income is used to implement the foundation's purpose. This makes it possible to plan expenditure for the foundation's purpose in the long term.
SKKG deploys its resources in an impact-oriented manner, striking a balance between the long-term preservation of the real estate portfolio and the financing of SKKG, social and ecological sustainability and the financing of innovative projects as an impact investment. The art collection is not part of the investment portfolio.
The SKKG's financial strategy is intended to ensure the preservation of the foundation's assets in the medium to long term and the sustainable development of the returns on assets so that sufficient and unlimited funds are available to implement the foundation's purpose and vision. The aim is to maintain sufficient financial scope for action for the future. By building up a securities portfolio, we increase the diversification of the foundation's assets and thus its security and earning power.
The securities assets should meet high sustainability criteria by considering investments with positive objectives in the interests of the common good and avoiding those with negative effects. The values of the SKKG, such as active and open communication internally and externally as well as traceability and transparency, also apply to financial issues. They should be implemented in line with the overall communication of the organization. We establish a common understanding of impact investing and create the corresponding foundations.
