Bringing cultural heritage and properties into a meaningful relationship in Oberwinterthur, Aargau and Lake Neuchâtel. SKKG and Terresta are active throughout Switzerland at these locations and with these projects.
CAMPO
CAMPO, the new headquarters of the SKKG and its real estate company Terresta, is being built in Oberwinterthur. The approximately 100,000 objects in the SKKG collection will have a new home at CAMPO. There will also be 70 apartments, co-working spaces, commercial space, a restaurant, workshops for the Terresta building service and offices for SKKG and Terresta.
CAMPO is being developed by SKKG and Terresta and will open its doors in 2030. However, the location at Zum Park 5 in Oberwinterthur is already coming to life.
How CAMPO is created
Grandson Castle
Grandson Castle on Lake Neuchâtel is part of Switzerland's historical and cultural memory. The castle has belonged to the SKKG since 1983 and is managed by the Fondation du Château de Grandson. The castle will become an important field of activity for the SKKG. Grandson Castle is currently being extensively renovated.
it will reopen in 2026 with a new permanent exhibition. In addition to this permanent exhibition and an international crossbow center, temporary exhibitions are planned.

Brestenberg Castle
Bruno Stefanini bought Brestenberg Castle in the canton of Aargau with the vision of creating an underground museum and depot for his collection. This dream never came true.
Today, SKKG and Terresta are working on new visions for the castle on Lake Hallwil.

Art and building

Following Bruno Stefanini's death in 2018, the SKKG inherited around 100,000 collection items and a good 2,200 apartments from him. The "Art and Construction" projects that SKKG and Terresta are implementing together are an important step towards the goal of effectively combining the cultural foundation and the real estate portfolio.
Terresta preserves, develops and communicates building culture, the SKKG maintains the material cultural heritage in its own collection and is a partner for the Swiss museum landscape. Art is to be given a prominent place in the portfolio in new buildings and major renovations.
